There was always something that gave them some
kind of common thing. I didn't identify it until after he passed. It is
a kindness and sensitivity that they both had in their hearts. They were
like old souls together and they both loved me.

I almost feel selfish when thinking about how I
miss Lou, missing how he would always make me feel like I was special
and sweet, and how my presence was always important; never to go
unnoticed or unmentioned when absent......But now it is Lou who will
never be forgotten, because it was he who was Truly Special and touched the hearts of countless people
around the world for His Integrity, Kindness, and stubborn drive,
"Never To Quit!"
And truly for this, it is His absence that
will never be forgotten.
Experiencing the France that honored Lou, and the rest of the 507th, was
such an important experience for me, in truly understanding who those men were
and their honor and the love they had for their country.
I have the utmost
respect for all of them and feel honored to have had the opportunity to
share 'their' France. Thank you.
Lou, I love and miss you so much..........we all do.
