| Lou Horn was one of the heroes of the 507th PIR.
He was, and will continue to be, an inspiration for today's
paratroopers. He will be sorely missed. On behalf of
the entire 1-507th PIR, I humbly send our condolences.

I want to thank you for the message and please know that my prayers
are for those loved ones of LOU. I we would consider myself one pf his
close friends and comrade, am sure we met last year in FRANCE, My wife
Marty and I are going again next year but it will not be the same with
Lou not being there./ He and I ENJOYED MANY A DRINK OR TWO TOGETHER OVER
THE YEARS BOTH IN FRANCE AND AT OUR 07 REUNIONS. Please accept our

Jim,
My father, Robert
Roussey, served in the 507th with your dad, and I got to know him during our two recent visits
to Normandy that Lou organized, and through a number of 507th stateside
reunions. You
are fortunate to be the son of such a wonderful, dedicated American.
Although
I only knew him briefly, I consider Lou a close friend of mine and my
father's and we — along with countless others — will miss him
greatly. God bless you
and your family.
— Dennis Roussey,
Coatesville, PA (about 30 miles west of Philadelphia)

Dear Jim,
My name is John McCann. I hope you remember my wife Emma and
myself; we were the two Irish people sitting next to you
during the 60th anniversary celebrations for the 507 PIR in
Amfreville two summers past. I have attached a photo just in
case you do not remember us.
We did not know your father had passed away. In the short
time we were with him in France we found him a lovely man.
We will never forget Lou and will hold his memory in our hearts
forever. We would like to express to you and your
family our most sincere and heartfelt regrets at this time.
Respectfully yours,
John & Emma McCann,
Northern Ireland.
